To be completely honest with you... I was always terrible in art class. Traditional forms of art and I majorly clashed, which made me doubt my creativity. I nearly gave up pursuing a career in the creative field until my wife bought me a Canon 7D. (She knew better than me that this was a passion I couldn't live without).
A year later, I filmed my first wedding, and my love for creativity reignited. I learned to use my unconventional-ness to my power, and 200+ weddings later, my team and I have become the leading wedding videographers in the Colorado mountain range area simply because of our unique approach to films.
Younger me would definitely be shocked but proud. I love what I get to do — and nothing quite compares to seeing our clients get really excited over their films. I hope my team and I can capture all the beautiful things that make your relationship unique next.

Videography was never in the plan. I always thought I would pursue business. That is, until I got my hands on my first camera after high school.
I quickly realized I loved filmmaking and creating visual stories. This passion for it changed my whole life and career. Even though it might sound cliche, I'm truly living out my dream with Ampersand Family.

I was lucky enough to be one of the recipients of Ampersand Family's films. And when Matthew posted on Facebook he was looking to hire someone for their administrator role — I couldn't pass the opportunity up!
When I'm not emailing clients, managing our social media accounts, and keeping our videographers organized (and overall maintaining the sanity around these parts), you can find me teaching elementary school P.E. or chasing my kiddos around!

My journey started in high school where I filmed sports, student rallies, and other events for the school newspaper. I took pride in my video work and continued pursuing filmmaking in college, often creating personal short films and social content for student organizations.
After graduating from Texas A&M’s communication program, I realized I could use my knowledge of storytelling and videography to film weddings for friends and relatives. Before I knew it, I was running my own freelance wedding videography business.
Today, filming with Ampersand Family keeps me creatively challenged and gives me an outlet to tell beautiful stories. I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
