This is one of the most common questions we get, and honestly it’s a really good one. Because before you spend a big part of your wedding budget on a video, you should know what you’re going to get.
So let’s just be honest about it.
It Starts Way Before the Ceremony
Your wedding film doesn’t start when you walk down the aisle. It starts in the morning. Getting ready, the little details — your dress hanging by the window, your partner’s shoes on the floor, someone tearing up while helping you with your veil.
Those quiet moments before everything begins — those are sometimes the most beautiful parts of the film. And most people don’t realize we’re even capturing them.
What Moments Are Usually Included
- Getting ready — both sides if you have two videographers
- First look or first moments — depending on your timeline
- The ceremony — vows, rings, the kiss, all of it
- Portraits and couple session — while your family is doing cocktail hour
- Reception highlights — first dance, speeches, the fun stuff
Some packages also include the full ceremony edit and full speech recordings, not just highlights. That depends on what you book.
The Highlight Film vs. The Full Film
Most couples get a highlight film — usually 5 to 10 minutes long. It’s a beautiful, edited version of your whole day set to music. It’s the one you’ll share on Instagram and send to relatives.
But some people also want the full ceremony recording. Unedited, start to finish. So you can hear every single word of your vows. This is especially important if you wrote your own vows — you want to be able to listen to them again someday.
Ask your videographer if they offer this, because not everyone does.
What “Our Style” Actually Means
We always say we do Intentional Storytelling. What does that mean in real life?
It means we’re not going to ask you to pose awkwardly in front of a mountain for 20 minutes. We’re not going to interrupt your first dance to get a better angle. We watch. We move quietly. We wait for the real thing to happen and then we catch it.
Your film should feel like watching your wedding day happen again — not like watching a movie about a wedding.
“We want you to finish watching your film and feel like you just lived that day all over again.”
The Music in Your Film
This matters more than people realize. Music sets the whole emotional tone. We choose music that fits your story — not just whatever is trending. If you have a song that means something to you, tell us. We’ll always try to make it work.
When Will You Actually Receive It
This varies by videographer. For us, you can expect your film within 8 to 12 weeks after your wedding. Yes, editing takes time. A well-edited film is not something you rush.
When it arrives, it comes with its own private website — just for you and whoever you want to share it with.
Want to see a real example? We can share a full wedding film with you so you know exactly what you’re getting. No pressure, just honest transparency.
